Adam Wainwright won't make his first start of the second half until Tuesday, at the earliest. The Cardinals have opted to go with Lance Lynn, Joe Kelly and Carlos Martinez against the Dodgers in the first series of the second half. That means Wainwright will have as many as 10 days in between starts if you don't count Tuesday's All-Star Game. It's probably wise to give the big right-hander some extra rest, as he's on pace to throw 233 innings even after missing a start with a sore elbow.
