Adam Wainwright pitched his second shutout of the season in Tuesday night's 7-0 stomping of the Astros. Wainwright yielded just five hits and needed only 104 pitches despite matching his career-high with 12 strikeouts. The right-hander suddenly has a sparkling 3.65 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 8.64 K/9 on the year. That K/9 would match his career-high from 2006, when he was in the Cardinals' bullpen. He'll take on the Reds next.
