St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright got his second half off to a decent start with his outing on Friday against the San Francisco Giants. Wainwright took the loss, but pitched six innings, allowing four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven. Two home runs did Wainwright in, as only two of the Giants that reached base against him did not come around to score. The loss dropped Wainwright to 7-6 with a 3.71 ERA.
