Adam Wainwright gave up two runs (one earned) over 6 2/3 innings on Sunday night against the Rangers. He allowed six hits, one walk, and finished with six strikeouts. Coming off his first loss since May 16, Wainwright was able to hold the Rangers to six scoreless innings before giving up his only runs. He was seeking his NL-best 11th victory, but was the victim of poor run support. Wainwright's next start will come on Saturday against the Athletics.
