Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports that the Mets are considering Chris Perez. Perez would represent insurance for the ninth inning if Bobby Parnell's (neck) rehab doesn't go well. The former Indians reliever is meeting with clubs at the Winter Meetings in order to rehab an image that has taken some hits with off-the-field incidents. Perez shouldn't cost too much after posting a 4.33 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 54/21 K/BB ratio across 54 innings in 2013.
