Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports that agent Scott Boras is looking for an opt-out clause after the first year of Stephen Drew's contract. Boras is going to have a tough time convincing a team to give up a draft pick to sign Drew and also agree to include an opt-out clause in his contract. Not surprisingly, Rubin says an opt-out clause would be a deal-breaker for the Mets, so it doesn't sound like he'll land in Queens unless Boras changes his demands. He does add that the Mets would consider a two- or possibly three-year deal for Drew (without an opt-out clause, of course).
