Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that Jason Bay (rib) will play left field for High-A St. Lucie on Tuesday. Bay was originally expected to be activated for Tuesday's series opener against the Nationals, but he was scratched from Monday's rehab game due to illness. Out since April 23 with a non-displaced fractured rib, Bay is expected to rejoin the Mets later this week.
