Adam Ottavino left Monday's split-squad game against the Nationals after being hit in the right calf by a line drive off the bat of Corey Brown. Ottavino was running up against his pitch count at the time, so Cardinals' manager Mike Matheny planned to pull him from the game if Brown reached base, anyway. The issue is considered minor.
