Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post reports that the Nationals are now targeting free agent right-hander Roy Oswalt. The Nats really wanted Mark Buehrle, but they were outbid by the Marlins and are now moving on to Plan B. Oswalt is said to be looking for a three-year deal, but it's possible he might have to wind up settling for just two. The Red Sox, Yankees and Royals have also expressed previous interest in the right-hander.
