Adam Jones won't get an MRI on his right thumb as originally reported but instead will visit a hand specialist. Jones had been slated to return to action Friday after a week-long absence but had to be scratched after aggravating his thumb ailment in batting practice. He's actually played through the injury since May, but it's gotten worse in the last week. He received an X-ray this week that showed no real difference from the one he had taken back in July. "I don't know exactly what it is," he said. "It is annoying me and I know I want to be on the field with my teammates."
