Adam Jones (thumb) is aiming to return to the Orioles' lineup Friday night against the Angels. Jones hasn't started a game since last Friday, first because of an ankle injury and now because of a sore right thumb. He told reporters on Wednesday afternoon that he's feeling much improved. The 26-year-old center fielder has tallied 23 home runs, 80 RBI and 11 steals so far this season.
