Sandoval is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery on Wednesday, but he'll rejoin the Giants for the final contest of their homestand Sunday versus the Padres. He's expected to enter the contest as a pinch hitter in what will amount of a final sendoff in front of the San Francisco crowd before he hits free agency this offseason, per Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News. Since the procedure is to Sandoval's throwing elbow, he'll likely be sidelined for a good portion of the 2020 campaign.
