Ackley agreed to a one-year, $3.2 million contract with the Yankees in January of 2016, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ackley was moved from the Yankees to the Mariners part way through the 2015 campaign after struggling during the first half, batting a much more respectable .288/.333/.654 with four home runs and 11 RBI over 52 at-bats after moving to New York. He took over the starting gig at second base towards the end of last season, but the offseason acquisition of Starlin Castro certainly puts a damper on expectations for 2016.
