According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post, opposing executives expect the Rockies to be "aggressive" in their pursuit of Mets' third baseman David Wright. The Mets have said Wright is not available, but things could change if they are able to re-sign Jose Reyes. The 28-year-old third baseman is owed $15 million next year, but his $16 million club option for 2013 will become void in the event of a trade. Renck expects the Rockies to "cast a wide net" if they can't get Wright, with Kevin Youkilis, Chase Headley and Pedro Alvarez among the potential alternatives. The Rockies haven't ruled out Ian Stewart getting another chance at the hot corner, but he remains a potential non-tender candidate this winter.
