According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post, opposing executives expect the Rockies to shop Huston Street this offseason. It's almost a given at this point since Rafael Betancourt has found a home in the closer role. Rockies general manager Dan O'Dowd isn't tipping his hand, but said Tuesday that he's "open-minded" about the closer role. Street, 28, has been limited to just 19 appearances since the All-Star break due to triceps and groin injuries. He is due $7 million next season in the final year of his contract.
