According to Peter Gammons, Stephen Drew's agent, Scott Boras, has dropped several hints this week that his client could be willing to play other positions besides shortstop. Drew has struggled to find a home this winter, in part because he is attached to draft compensation, but also because there aren't many teams looking for shortstops at the moment. His willingness to play other positions could make him more attractive, as Gammons mentions the Yankees and Red Sox as possible fits. The Mets remain a possibility, but they appear content to wait out the market.
