According to MLB.com's Bill Ladson, the Nationals are "in the hunt" for free agent Greg Dobbs. Two other teams are trying to sign the veteran infielder, who is expected to make a decision soon. Dobbs batted .275/.311/.389 with eight home runs and 49 RBI in 439 plate appearances this past year for the Marlins. He would function as a utilityman in Washington, and insurance to Ryan Zimmerman at third base.
