According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, Javier Vazquez is "50-50" on whether he'll play in 2012. Vazquez has hinted about the possibility of retirement, but he would consider continuing his career under the right circumstances. According to Rosenthal, he has a strong preference to remain on the East Coast in order to be closer in proximity to his family in Puerto Rico. The veteran right-hander is expected to make a decision on his future by December.
