According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, Chase Headley is the Padres' player in most demand.
It makes sense given the lack of quality third basemen available in free agency. A trade would be good news for Headley, who has an .805 career OPS on the road compared to a .655 OPS at PETCO Park. Rosenthal's colleague Jon Paul Morosi reported last week that the Tigers are one of the teams who have expressed interest. The Padres are also receiving inquiries about the availability of right-hander Mat Latos, but Headley is the most likely to be moved. The 27-year-old earned $2.325 million in 2011 and is arbitration-eligible for the second time this winter.
