According to Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Marlins plan to keep Leo Nunez into next season. We already knew that the Marlins were unlikely to trade Nunez before Sunday's deadline, but there was some doubt about whether they would keep him for 2012, as he could make around $6.5 million in arbitration this winter. A source tells Rodriguez that the Marlins don't feel they have someone ready to take over the closer role.
