According to John Harper of the New York Daily News, Johan Santana "remains bitter" toward the Mets.
The Mets disagree with Santana about his readiness to pitch and were upset that he threw an unscheduled bullpen session last week. Harper says the veteran left-hander is "barely communicating with club officials." It sounds like the type of thing that should blow over as time passes, but you never really know. Santana (shoulder) is expected to open the 2013 season on the disabled list.
If I signed a five year(or more) contract that paid me $25M+ per season and I ended every one of those seasons on the disabled list, not pitching at all in one of those seasons, I don't know how "bitter" I could actually be towards that team. Suck it up, buttercup, and try to actually pitch a full season for once.
Get your facts straight. He didn't end every one of those seasons on the disabled list. Management is keeping him from pitching, even though he really wants to play. It's not Johan's fault he isn't playing. And the funny thing about your comments is "try to actually pitch a full season for once". You just made yourself look like a total dumbie with that one. Johan pitched numerous full seasons with spectacular numbers. Get your facts straight before you talk crap about a player on a public forum, junior.
I was talking about his time with the Mets. He did pitch an entire season his first year with the Mets, in 2008. Since then, he has in fact finished EVERY SEASON on the DL.
2009-Goes on DL on 8/25 with bone chips in his elbow
2010-Goes on DL on 9/2 with torn anterior capsule in his shoulder
2011-Misses entire season
2012-Goes on DL on 8/22 with lower back infammation
