According to Jim Bowden of ESPN.com, the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, Athletics and Tigers are among the teams that are "in" on Stephen Drew "as of this hour." It's the same list of clubs that we've heard about for a few weeks now. Bowden notes that the Yankees are "seriously concerned about the declining range of both Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez," while the Red Sox are "not sure Jose Iglesias' bat is ready." The Cardinals are confident that Rafael Furcal's elbow will be OK, but they would like some insurance at shortstop and would likely sign Drew to stay around after Furcal's deal runs out. If the Tigers bring on Drew, they would ship Jhonny Peralta elsewhere, perhaps to the D'Backs.
