Gonzalez signed the deal on Sunday, and is now under team control through his arbitration years and beyond. The 26-year-old left-hander posted a 3.12 ERA in 32 starts last season for the A's, striking out 197 batters in 202 innings of work. He should fare well in the nation's capital.
