According to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, Juan Carlos Oviedo is expected to receive a major league contract from the Rays. The deal won't be announced until later in the week, and terms of the contract have yet to be disclosed, but it will presumably be for less than the $2 million option the Rays declined. With the uncertainty at the back of the Rays bullpen, it's not unthinkable that Oviedo could work his way into save opportunities at some point this season.
