This conflicts a report from MLB.com's Mark Bowman, who wrote Monday morning that Christian Bethancourt could be called up to take over as Atlanta's starting catcher. That move -- which O'Brien acknowledges might happen at some point this summer -- would push B.J. Upton to the bench, Jason Heyward to center field, and Justin Upton to right. Gattis is a bad defensive outfielder, but benching Upton would likely boost Atlanta's offensive potential.
