Aaron Loup recorded the final two outs of the tenth inning, earning his second save of the season as the Blue Jays defeated the Phillies 6-5 on Tuesday. The Jays removed the struggling Sergio Santos from the closer's role recently and the lefty Loup got the save chance on Tuesday, retiring the left-handed Chase Utley and Ryan Howard for his fourth career save. Loup has not exactly been reliable, as he owns a 13/9 K/BB ratio in 16 innings, but he figures to get at least some of the upcoming save opportunities for the Jays until Casey Janssen returns following an oblique injury.
