A late insertion into Wednesday's lineup, Werth proceeded to go 2-for-3 with a homer and two walks against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Judging by the past two seasons, Werth seemed well into his decline phase, but he's had alternate plans in the early going this year, hitting .299 with an even .900 OPS through 30 games. With six homers and three steals to go with 20 runs on the year, he's provided a nice fantasy package, but buyer beware: Werth's strikeout rate has risen to 26.6 percent (its highest mark since 2005, when he hit .234 for the Dodgers) and his .379 BABIP makes him a strong regression candidate.
