Brown completed seven innings against Minnesota on Saturday, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out 12 batters in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Brown surrendered a two-run homer to Brooks Lee in the fifth inning, but that was the only time the Twins were able to score against him. The right-hander racked up an outstanding 21 whiffs en route to a career-high 12 strikeouts. He also issued just one walk after handing out nine total free passes over his previous two starts. Despite those recent walk issues, Brown has been among MLB's best pitchers this season. He ranks fourth among qualified pitchers with a 1.88 ERA, sixth with a 0.93 WHIP and is tied for sixth with 105 punchouts while holding an 8-3 record through 14 starts.

Brown settled for a no-decision after allowing one run on four hits and five walks while striking out nine in 5.1 innings of work during Saturday's 5-3 win over the Guardians in extra innings.
EDGE Analysis
For a second straight start, the free passes piled up for Brown. After walking a season-high five batters Saturday, the 26-year-old has walked nine batters in his last 11.1 innings of work. Now up to 25 total walks on the season, that's about the only blemish on an otherwise fantastic campaign. The right-hander allowed one or fewer runs for the ninth time in his last 11 starts, bringing his season-long ERA down to an impressive 1.82.

Brown (8-3) picked up the win Sunday against Tampa Bay, allowing one hit and four walks with five strikeouts over six scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Only 49 of Brown's 93 pitches found the strike zone Sunday, but he navigated the lack of control masterfully to notch his fifth scoreless start of the campaign. Brown's four walks tied his season high, and his one hit allowed was a season best. However, Brown failed to strike out eight batters for just the second time in eight starts. In 12 appearances this season, Brown has a sparkling 1.83 ERA and an 84:20 K:BB over 73.2 innings, and he leads MLB in quality starts with 10. His next start is tentatively scheduled to come against the Guardians in Cleveland.

Brown (7-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one run on six hits and no walks over six innings against the Athletics. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old was locked in Tuesday, with his only blemish a solo home run by Lawrence Butler in the fourth inning. Brown bounced back nicely from his previous start May 21 against the Rays, when he surrendered a season-high five runs. Aside from that outing, the right-hander has been excellent to start the 2025 season, posting a 2.00 ERA and 0.92 WHIP over 67.2 innings across 11 starts, allowing one run or fewer in seven of them.

Brown (6-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Rays, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Brown hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start this year prior to Wednesday's outing. The Rays would score two runs on three hits in the first inning before Brown, who had only allowed two homers in his first nine starts, gave up a solo shot to Curtis Mead in the fourth, followed by back-to-back homers off the bats of Josh Lowe and Brandon Lowe in the fifth. Despite the hiccup, the 26-year-old Brown still boasts an impressive 2.04 ERA with a 0.91 WHIP and 71:16 K:BB through 61.2 innings this season. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for next week at home against the A's.

Brown (6-2) pitched a complete game despite taking the loss versus the Rangers on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits while striking out nine without walking a batter over eight innings.
EDGE Analysis
Brown started with four perfect innings before giving up a double to Adolis Garcia in the fifth. Brown also allowed a solo shot to Jake Burger in the sixth, which was the lone run of the game. This was the fifth start in a row with nine strikeouts for Brown, who continues to be superb. He's allowed one run or fewer in six of nine starts, and he's logged eight quality starts on the year. The 26-year-old is now at a 1.43 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 67:14 K:BB over 56.2 innings. Brown will look to get back in the win column in his next start, which is projected to be on the road versus the Rays.

Brown (6-1) earned the win Friday in a 3-0 win over the Reds, pitching 5.2 shutout innings while giving up two hits and four walks and striking out nine batters.
EDGE Analysis
Although he fell just one out short of collecting his eighth consecutive quality start to begin the season, Brown still put on a brilliant performance Friday. He reached nine strikeouts for the fourth time in a row and allowed the Reds to put a runner in scoring position only twice. With five consecutive wins and a sparkling 1.48 ERA, Brown has plenty of momentum behind him heading into his next start -- tentatively scheduled to come against the Royals on Wednesday.

Brown (5-1) picked up the win Saturday in an 8-3 victory over the White Sox, giving up three runs on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander wobbled early as Chicago put a three-spot on the board in the first inning, but Brown settled in and gave his offense a chance to mount a comeback. The three earned were the most Brown has given up in a start this season, while he extended his quality start streak to seven with the performance. He'll take a 1.67 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 49:10 K:BB through 43 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Reds.

The 26-year-old threw 66 of 100 pitches for strikes, generating 12 whiffs and matching a season-high nine punchouts. Brown (3-1) earned the win over Toronto on Monday, pitching seven scoreless innings during which he allowed two hits and one walk while striking out nine batters.
EDGE Analysis
That's now five quality starts in five outings this season for Brown, who recorded perhaps his best start of 2025 so far Monday. Both the seven innings and nine punchouts were season-best marks for the right-hander, and he pitched his third straight scoreless outing while extending his scoreless innings streak to 24 frames. It's too early in the campaign to be prognosticating end-of-season awards, but Brown certainly has the look of a Cy Young contender considering his dominance so far. He ranks sixth among qualified pitchers with a 1.16 ERA and first with a 0.74 WHIP while registering a 31:6 K:BB through 31 innings.
