Points Leagues Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 6 rotoballer.com Sun 5/5/19 6:57 AM

Welcome to the RotoBaller waiver wire column which falls in-line with most fantasy who should I pick up? articles with a skew towards points leagues. Yes, there is positive correlation to standard 5x5 scoring but in our format, strikeouts, walks and non-homer extra-base hits are uniquely critical. In points leagues, specific categories matter less, and the accumulation of total stats is the ultimate objective. We march into [...]

The Cut List (Week 4) - Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 4/21/19 7:00 AM

We're past the 10% mark of the season now for this, April's penultimate Cut List. That still doesn't mean free rein to chop off your roster anyone you don't like, but samples are only increasing, playing time divisions becoming clearer, injuries piling up. That said, the Watch-Out list of players to keep for now won't appear, at least this week. While it's a cute play on the [...]

Deeper NL-Only Waiver Wire Sleepers for Week 3 rotoballer.com Fri 4/19/19 7:30 AM

Every week in baseball, a significant player will hit the disabled list, slip into a slump, or get traded out of a good spot. How fantasy owners adapt to these situations can make or break the season as a whole. One lousy add might not hurt the long-term standing of a team, but failing to take advantage of breakouts or impact bats before others sure can.The primary challenge of playing in an NL or AL-only league is often the lack of options regarding adding and subtracting players when needed. I[...]

Howie Kendrick Likely to Skip Rehab Assignment rotoballer.com Wed 4/3/19 11:50 AM

Washington Nationals second baseman/outfielder Howie Kendrick(hamstring) will probably rejoin the team when eligible to come off the injured list on Thursday, without getting a rehab assignment in first. Kendrick has been out with a hamstring injury suffered during spring training. He will take on a utility role but is not a natural candidate to get a significant uptick in playing time from Trea Turner's injury, seeing as Kendrick has never played shortstop in his career.

Howie Kendrick Could Return Thursday rotoballer.com Tue 4/2/19 4:50 PM

Washington Nationals second baseman Howie Kendrick (hamstring) is taking batting practice on Tuesday, and manager Dave Martinez said that the veteran infielder could come off the injured list when eligible on Thursday without going on a minor league rehab assignment. Kendrick will give the Nats a nice veteran presence as a utility infielder, but he has very little to offer fantasy owners in a bench role. He's strictly depth in NL-only leagues.
