Bader has gone 7-for-20 (.350) across his last seven games, added a double, three walks and four runs scored in that span. For the season, the center fielder is slashing .246/.343/.311 through 20 contests.

Bader went 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in Thursday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Bader has hit safely in four of the last five games, going 6-for-15 (.400) in that span. The outfielder has been a quality speed option so far with five stolen bases in 18 games -- he went 9-for-13 on the basepaths last season. He's slashing .250/.333/.321 with two RBI, nine runs scored and four doubles through 18 contests, though he's yet to swat a home run.

Bader is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll take a seat for the second time this season with the Cardinals wrapping up their series with the Mets with a day game after a night game. Dylan Carlson will slide over from right field to assume Bader's usual duties in center field, while Corey Dickerson picks up first start of the season in the outfield.

Bader went 0-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored and three stolen bases in Saturday's win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
He helped manufacture runs in multiple innings. After a successful theft his first time on base, Bader decided to take second and third when he reached a second time. The outfielder has gone six games without an extra-base hit and has a .195/.298/.268 slash line early on, so expect to have to sacrifice in the other hitting categories if you want to chase these steals.

Bader isn't starting Friday against the Reds, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bader had started every game for the Cardinals this year, but he'll get a breather after going 1-for-11 with two walks and five strikeouts in his last four appearances. Lars Nootbaar will start in center field and bat seventh.

Bader signed a two-year, $10.4 million contract with the Cardinals on Saturday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bader and the Cardinals were unable to settle on an agreement prior to the arbitration deadline this spring, but he'll now land a deal that covers his final two years of arbitration. The 27-year-old has slashed .348/.375/.435 with two doubles, six RBI, a run, a stolen base, a walk and five strikeouts across eight Grapefruit League appearances this spring. Although the Cardinals added Corey Dickerson during the offseason, Bader is expected to see plenty of playing time to begin the 2022 campaign.

Bader is 8-for-23 with two doubles, six RBI and a run scored through eight Grapefruit League games.
EDGE Analysis
Bader enters 2022 as the presumptive starting center fielder, though the Cardinals' outfield is a bit crowded with the addition of Corey Dickerson this spring. There's little reason for Bader to be concerned about a reduced role -- he slashed .267/.324/.460 with 16 home runs, 50 RBI, 45 runs scored and nine stolen bases in 103 games last season. Competition should keep him sharp, but the 27-year-old will likely be in the lineup more often than not. Bader is still expected to hit more toward the bottom of the order, which means he'll likely be batting ninth now that the designated hitter is universal, though the Cardinals boast a formidable starting nine.

EDGE Analysis
Bader led off the first inning with a solo home run off Adrian Sampson. In addition, he scored in the seventh frame. After hitting three bombs last weekend, Bader added his first long ball of October. The 27-year-old is slashing .266/.322/.460 with 16 home runs, 50 RBI and 45 runs with one game left this season.

Bader will be on the bench Thursday against Milwaukee, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bader doesn't sit often, as he'll be on the bench here for just the second time since the start of July. The Cardinals have given several regulars a rest since they clinched a playoff spot Tuesday, so Bader will get his turn here, with Dylan Carlson sliding to center and Jose Rondon starting in right field.
