Cole didn't factor into the decision during Tuesday's 1-0 loss to Seattle, allowing four hits while striking out eight in seven scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cole went toe-to-toe in a rematch with Seattle starter Luis Castillo but couldn't register the victory as the game went 13 innings. The excellent performance comes on the heels of three straight poor outings, during which the 31-year-old pitched to a 7.00 ERA across 18 innings against inferior competition in Baltimore, Kansas City and Seattle. Cole retook the MLB lead with his 178th strikeout, and he's scheduled to pitch again next week against Tampa Bay.

Cole (9-4) took the loss Wednesday as the Yankees were downed 7-3 by the Mariners, coughing up six runs on seven hits -- including three home runs -- and a walk over six innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
All six runs scored in the first inning as Eugenio Suarez, Carlos Santana and Jarred Kelenic took Cole deep, but the right-hander was at least able to save the bullpen by settling down and working another five frames. Cole exited after 103 pitches (69 strikes), and he'll take a 3.56 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 170:33 K:BB through 131.1 innings into his next outing.

Cole didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 11-5 win over the Royals, surrendering five runs on seven hits over six innings. He struck out nine without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander showed his usual dominance and blanked Kansas City through four frames, but Cole ran into trouble in the fifth, eventually serving up a three-run blast to Salvador Perez. He exited with the Yankees down 5-3, but a massive rally in the eighth erased the deficit. Cole generated 19 swinging strikes among his 100 pitches, and he'll take a 3.30 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 162:32 K:BB through 125.1 innings into his next start.

Cole (9-3) took the loss Saturday against the Orioles after giving up four runs (three earned) on nine hits with six strikeouts and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
Cole threw 80 of his 112 pitches for strikes and generated 16 whiffs, but Baltimore rallied for four runs between the fifth and seventh innings to sink him. The nine hits allowed are a season high, though he was able to limit the damage and give the Yankees offense a chance. Cole has a 3.09 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 153:32 K:BB through 20 starts (119.1 innings), and he tentatively lines up to pitch during next weekend's four-game set versus Kansas City.

Cole (9-2) gave up two earned runs on four hits and zero walks while striking out 12 in seven innings Sunday against the Red Sox. He picked up the win.
EDGE Analysis
He tied his season high with 12 strikeouts and struck out double-digit batters a second straight time and sixth time this season. Cole has had a few blowup outings this season but his 3.02 ERA and 0.98 WHIP are still strong thanks to dominant outings like this one. Cole enters the All-Star break tied with Shane McClanahan for first in the majors with 147 strikeouts.

Cole gave up four hits, a walk and no earned runs while striking out 11 over seven innings in a 4-3 loss to the Reds on Tuesday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Cole bounced back from a rough start his last time out against the Red Sox when he was tagged for five earned runs to pitch a scoreless gem. The 31-year-old right-hander left the game in line for his ninth win of the season but the Yankees bullpen struggled in relief so he was forced to settle for the no-decision. Cole ranks third in MLB with 135 strikeouts on the year and continues to live up to his status as a consensus first-round fantasy pick heading into the season.

Cole (8-2) allowed five earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven across six innings to earn the win Thursday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Cole surrendered a pair of home runs to Rafael Devers, which was almost enough for him to blow a five-run advantage. Cole was fairly strong otherwise, racking up 17 swinging strikes on 94 total pitches while also working at least six innings for his fifth consecutive appearance. Despite the bumpy outing, Cole still has a 3.26 ERA and a 124:29 K:BB across 99.1 frames on the season.

Cole (7-2) earned the win in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over six innings against the Guardians. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
All of the damage against Cole came in the second inning when Josh Naylor and Franmil Reyes went back-to-back. Cole was excellent otherwise, and he now has his ERA back below 3.00 for the season (2.99). The right-hander has 11 quality starts in his last 13 turns, and around the June 9 hiccup when he allowed five homers, Cole has pitched like a fantasy ace.

Cole (6-2) was charged with the loss after he pitched seven innings, surrendering one run on four hits and two walks while striking out eight versus the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Cole picked up a tough-luck loss Saturday after he only gave up a single run on a J.J. Matijevic solo homer in the top of the seventh inning. Unfortunately for him, the Astros tossed a combined no-hitter. Cole has now produced three straight masterful starts, surrendering just two runs over 20.1 frames while striking out 27 batters. He now owns a 2.99 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 111 punchouts over 87.1 innings in 15 starts this season.
