He's still in a bit of a rough patch at the plate, going just 3-for-21 with five walks over his last six games, though he's also logged three steals in that span. Looking back further, he has just one multi-hit effort in his last 21 games, a span in which he's hitting a meager .169 (14-for-83). This extended quiet spell has him at a .265/.340/.478 slash line on the year, and he's added 11 steals, 13 home runs, 28 RBI and 41 runs scored over 58 contests.

The Padres found themselves down 6-0 before they got an at-bat, but Tatis made sure to crack the goose egg quickly, leading off the bottom of the first inning with a homer. This was his first long ball since May 18 versus the Mariners. The outfielder is up to 13 homers, 28 RBI, 38 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a .278/.344/.512 slash line through 52 contests this season. He continues to provide well-rounded contributions in fantasy while regularly batting leadoff for San Diego.

Tatis gave the Padres a positive start, but his leadoff homer in the first inning was not a sign of things to come against Seattle starter Bryan Woo. Tatis has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, going 12-for-45 (.267) with four homers and nine RBI in that span. The outfielder is now at a .304/.375/.561 slash line with 12 homers, 27 RBI, 37 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 44 contests this season. He continues to thrive out of the leadoff spot for the Padres, though he has cooled down just a little compared to his fantastic first month of the season.

Tatis is seeing the ball well, lifting three homers over the last four contests. His hitting streak is up to seven games, a span in which he has gone 9-for-29 (.310) with four extra-base hits and eight RBI. He's maintained a strong performance all season, slashing .316/.389/.574 with 11 homers, 26 RBI, 36 runs scored, eight stolen bases, five doubles and a triple over 40 games.

Tatis went 2-for-4 with a home run, three total runs, three total RBI and a walk in Saturday's 21-0 thrashing of the Rockies.

To put things in perspective, every one of San Diego's starters got at least one hit Saturday, and Tatis was one of five players on the team to rack up at least three RBI. He also hit one of the squad's five homers, belting a three-run shot in the fifth inning. The long ball snapped a 15-game homerless stretch for Tatis, and the three RBI matched the total amount of runs batted in that he had accumulated during that span.

Tatis was removed from Friday's game after being hit by a pitch on his left forearm, but he was cleared to play Saturday and was instrumental in the Padres' win. He opened the ninth inning with a double, and after stealing third base, he came home for the go-ahead run on a wild pitch from David Bednar. Tatis has started the season strongly, and his batting average (.342) and OPS (1.012) are both second best in the National League behind Pete Alonso (.345 and 1.137, respectively).
