The Twins recalled Jorge from Double-A Chattanooga on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander will toe the rubber Friday against the Orioles, a daunting matchup. Jorge allowed three runs in five innings against the Royals on July 1 and may only be up again on a temporary assignment.

Jorge is expected to be recalled from Double-A Chattanooga to start Friday's game against the Orioles, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jorge held his own in a spot start against the Royals over the weekend, prompting the Twins to give him another turn in the rotation for the injured Hector Santiago (back). He allowed three runs on seven hits in five innings of work to earn the win in his MLB debut. It's unclear how long he'll remain in the rotation at this point, but he could stick around if he pitches well given the inconsistency at the back end of the Twins' rotation.

Jorge was optioned to Double-A Chattanooga on Sunday, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jorge impressed in his big-league debut during the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, tossing five innings and giving up three runs to earn the win. Since the Twins only needed him as a sixth starter due to the heavy schedule over the past week, Jorge won't stick around in the rotation, but his performance Saturday could make him the top candidate for a promotion the next time a new starter is required.

Jorge gave up three runs and seven hits over five innings with two strikeouts and one walk in Saturday's win over Kansas City in the second game of a double header. Jorge became the first Twins pitcher to earn a win in his big league debut since 2013, the Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jorge gave up a two-run home run in the first inning but then settled down. It wasn't a great performance, but may be enough to give him another shot at the rotation. He may be sent down shortly as he was called up for the doubleheader. With the Twins desperate for any production in the back end of their rotation, Jorge could be called back up soon.

Jorge will start the second game of Saturday's doubleheader as the 26th man for the Twins, Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jorge is set to make his major-league debut during the night game before heading back to Double-A Chattanooga. Although the 23-year-old hasn't pitched at the Triple-A level, he has pitched well enough at Chattanooga to warrant a start at the big-league level. He has posted a 3.26 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP in 85.2 innings of work, including 61 strikeouts and an 8-1 record on the mound.

Jorge will be recalled to start Saturday's game against the Royals, Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move will officially be made closer to first pitch Saturday, but the fact remains that Jorge will make his big league debut against the Royals despite having never pitched above Double-A. Jorge has pedestrian numbers spread over the course of the season, but he's turned things around over the last month. He has a 2.54 ERA with 32 strikeouts and six walks in his last six starts spanning a total of 39.0 innings. Even if Jorge pitches well against the Royals, there's no guarantee he'll stick in the rotation beyond Saturday.

Jorge could be a candidate to be called up and start for Minnesota on Sunday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "Jorge's numbers of late have been really good," said manager Paul Molitor, though he acknowledged a callup is a long shot.
EDGE Analysis
Jorge has a 3.00 ERA with a 50:21 K:BB in 72 innings for Double-A Charlotte. He's not regarded as a top prospect and his potential callup is more a function that he's already on the 40-man roster. Still, it shows he's having a good season and could be in Triple-A shortly.
