White, who signed a six-year, $24 million deal Nov. 25, is slated for the starting first-base job this season despite not having played above the Double-A level, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
White has been lauded for his work with both the bat and glove during his three-year minor-league career. His latest success came at Double-A Arkansas last season, when White slashed .293/.350/.488 across 400 plate appearances. The 23-year-old flashed his defensive skills on multiple occasions during Sunday's Cactus League opener against the Rangers as well, and he managed to put on approximately 10 pounds of muscle over the offseason that he hopes to keep on his frame throughout the 2020 campaign.

White will sign a long-term major-league deal with the Mariners on Monday, Jim Callis of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
White will become the latest in a small run of players to receive a major-league contract before making their major-league debut. Typically, such a move is made so that the player can be on the Opening Day roster without service-time considerations taking precedence over on-field performance. White spent the entirety of the 2019 season with Double-A Arkansas but could conceivably have been ready to debut, as he hit .293/.350/.488 with 18 homers in 92 games. Whether he cracks the 25-man roster right away or not, the Mariners are risking very little, as they are reportedly guaranteeing the first baseman just $24 million over six years while securing three additional club options.

White went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer and three strikeouts in Double-A Arkansas' win over Springfield on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
White was shelved for a brief stretch due to an injury, the nature of which was never disclosed. Regardless, he turned the page in a hurry, and the 23-year-old continues to flirt with an ISO near .200 for Arkansas. White could stand to improve his walk rate, but even with that lack of patience, he's still passed the Double-A test (125 wRC+). There's still time for him to potentially move up to Triple-A before the season's out.

White was scratched from Monday's lineup at Double-A Arkansas due to an unspecified injury, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
White won't take the field Monday evening, but per Drayer, the prospect is expected to be fine. He's been seeing the ball well at Double-A this season, slashing .291/.342/.484 with 13 homers and 42 RBI over 71 games.

White was named to the 2019 All-Star Futures Game on Friday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The promising first baseman just saw his 23-game hitting streak snapped Friday against Tulsa, but the invite to the July 7 game underscores how strong a campaign he's enjoyed overall at Double-A Arkansas. White is slashing .296/.357/.476 with 17 extra-base hits (six doubles, two triples, nine home runs) and 27 RBI across 52 games in his first season at his current level. White is one of three Mariners prospects selected to represent the organization, with Jarred Kelenic and Justin Dunn also set to join him.

White is slashing .380/.421/.704 with a double, two triples, six home runs, 14 RBI and 20 runs over his current 17-game hitting streak at Double-A Arkansas, per the Mariners' official minor-league Twitter account.
EDGE Analysis
White had gotten off to a hot start with the Travelers before a hip flexor issue landed him on the minor-league injured list in April. He struggled initially upon returning, but his current tear has boosted his season line to a rock-solid .293/.364/.483. Those numbers serve as an extension of the success White has enjoyed at each professional stop thus far, and if he's able to maintain them, a promotion to Triple-A Tacoma before season's end presumably isn't out of the question.

White is 0-for-10 over his first two games at Double-A Arkansas since his return from a minor-league injured list stint due to a hip flexor issue.
EDGE Analysis
White's injury came at a particularly inopportune time in that he'd started the season off with a .308/.367/.385 line over his first seven games. The hope was that his stay on the shelf wouldn't cool off his bat, but for the moment, it appears that's what may have transpired. Given his prior body of work at both Short-A Everett and High-A Modesto the last two seasons, however, White would appear to have the ability to bounce back in relatively short order.

White (hip flexor) will be activated off the minor-league injured list to start Wednesday at Double-A Arkansas, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
White has been battling the hip flexor issue over the past couple weeks but is primed to make his return for the Travelers. The 21-year-old slashed .308/.367/.385 over seven games before sustaining the injury.

White (hip flexor) is on the minor-league injured list at Double-A Arkansas but is progressing well and headed for activation early next week, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
White was raking to open the season, as he'd slashed .308/.367/.385 with two doubles and three RBI over his first 29 plate appearances before the injury. The 2017 first-round pick has been on the fast track since joining the organization, and a promotion to Triple-A Tacoma before season's end thus wouldn't be out of the question if his early numbers prove to sustain over the long term.

White was reassigned to minor-league camp Monday, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
White missed the last few days of camp with a hamstring issue, but he appears to have returned to health and will join minor-league camp following Monday's cuts. He made a big jump from High-A Modesto to Triple-A Tacoma during the 2018 season, so it remains to be seen where he'll end up within Seattle's farm system for the upcoming campaign.
