Marshall was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is hardly surprising after Marshall's seven-run implosion against Detroit on Monday. He will likely get another opportunity the next time the Mariners are pressed for bullpen reinforcements, but there's next to nothing to see here from a fantasy perspective.

Marshall gave up seven runs on seven hits and three walks over two innings of relief in Tuesday's blowout loss to Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall came into this game with a 1.59 ERA and 1.24 WHIP; those numbers are ancient history now. Coming off last season's 8.80 ERA (and 2015's 6.08 mark), this early blowup is the last thing he needs as he tries to hold onto a bullpen spot in Seattle.

Marshall fired 2.1 perfect innings in Sunday's 8-7 win over the Rangers and recorded a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Called up from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Marshall has now logged four scoreless innings across his first two appearances. The 26-year-old righty was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on April 4 after getting designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks. He could be in for an extended look -- and some hold opportunities -- if he can continue generating the caliber of performance he's provided in his first pair of trips to the mound.

Marshall was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
He only logged one appearance at Triple-A before getting the call. Casey Fien was outrighted as a corresponding move. Marshall figures to pitch in low-leverage situations out of the big-league bullpen.

Marshall was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was DFA'd at the end of March by the Diamondbacks to make room for a different waiver claim, but it seems that Marshall's major-league experience piqued the Mariners' interest. Although he now has a 40-man roster spot, he'll head to Triple-A Tacoma until more bullpen depth is needed at the major-league level.

Marshall has been dropped from the 40-man roster and designated for assignment, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move was made to clear room for Christian Walker, who was just claimed off waivers from the Reds. Marshall was once the Diamondbacks most reliable setup man (back in 2014), but his struggles over the past two seasons left him as a long shot to crack the 25-man roster. His unimpressive spring numbers -- .391 batting average against -- ultimately led the Diamondbacks deem him expendable.

Marshall was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall was one of the Diamondbacks' most reliable setup men in 2014, but his performance has fallen off a cliff in both of the last two seasons, which put him on the outside looking in for a bullpen role heading into spring training. He proved far too hittable in Cactus League play with opposing batters piling up a .391 average against him, so he'll need to correct his flaws in Reno before he receives consideration for a promotion to the Diamondbacks.

Marshall was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday, Jody Jackson of Fox Sports Arizona reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall struggled during his short stint in the majors, posting a 19.20 ERA and 3.43 WHIP over just 2.1 innings pitched.

Marshall was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall will restore some depth in the Diamondbacks' bullpen after the team dealt away Tyler Clippard to the Yankees earlier Sunday. Don't expect Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale to turn to Marshall for high-leverage duty right away after he submitted a 6.92 ERA and 2.15 WHIP across 13 innings with Arizona earlier this season.

Marshall was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
He'll try to get back on track in the minors after posting a 6.92 ERA and 2.15 WHIP over 13 innings with Arizona. Marshall has been unable to replicate his 2014 success with the D-backs over the past two seasons, shuttling between Triple-A and the big leagues, and suffering a near fatal head injury after getting struck in the head by a comebacker at Reno last season.
