Evan Gattis Hits Go-Ahead Single In Astros 12th Straight Win rotoballer.com Sun 6/17/18 1:32 PM
Houston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis added to his incredible offensive resurgence on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning of the Astros 7-4 win. Gattis is tearing the cover off to the baseball and now is hitting .300 with seven home runs and an astounding 23 runs batted in over his last 16 games played. He has completely reversed course on what was turning into a disappointing season and now is tied for the team lead with 47 runs batted in. He is sluggin[...]
Evan Gattis Takes Cole Hamels Deep For 10th Home Run rotoballer.com Thu 6/7/18 9:42 PM
Houston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis hit his 10th home run of the season as the Astros beat the Rangers 5-2 Thursday night. Gattis came into the game with three career home runs against Rangers starter Cole Hamels in 31 career at-bats and made it four with his two-run blast in the fourth inning. Gattis has really turned on the power lately and now has nine home runs since May 12th. The veteran slugger will be a short-term fantasy option to provide some power heading into the weekend's [...]

Evan Gattis Homers Again In Win rotoballer.com Fri 6/1/18 7:42 PM
Houston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis hit his eighth home run of the season as the Astros took down the Red Sox 7-3 Friday. The batting average (.236) might not be where fantasy owners want it to be but Gattis now has seven home runs in his last 16 games played. He clearly is beginning to hit the ball with more authority and now has 26 runs batted in on the season. Gattis will provide power but little else in fantasy moving forward despite his recent resurgence as a slugger.
Evan Gattis Homers Twice In Loss rotoballer.com Sun 5/27/18 2:15 PM
Houston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis homered twice and drove in four runs in the Astros 14-inning loss to the Indians 10-9. The big game Sunday capped off a 5-for-13 performance this weekend in the three-game series against the Indians. He also drove in six runs against Cleveland as his playing is slowly beginning to pick up as the weather heats up. Five of his six home runs this season have come in the month of May and the veteran is showing, for now, he may have some juice left. Gattis[...]
The Cut List (Week 8): Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 5/20/18 3:15 AM
Welcome to Week 8 of the Cut List. I'm continuing the standard league viable cut trend that I've been rolling with for a few weeks. I think my pitching cut suggestions have fared rather well over the past few weeks (Danny Duffy, Jeff Samardzija, Sonny Gray, Jacob Faria), but the hitters I've highlighted lately are sort of turning their seasons around (Josh Bell, Matt Chapman, Evan Gattis).
This is the risk I took when I chose to cover standard league viable players. Keep this in mind when you[...]
Evan Gattis Caps Off Big Weekend With Two-Run Homer rotoballer.com Sun 5/13/18 1:12 PM
Houston Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis went 1-for-3 with a walk and two-run home run as the Astros beat the Rangers 6-1. It was his second blast of the weekend as he went 4-for-12 in the series with four runs driven in. The team is clearly trying to get the veteran hitter going this week as he recorded a season-high five starts this week. Gattis is off to a slow start in the early stages of the season and the productive weekend raised his batting average up to only .214. The team may elect[...]
Evan Gattis Has Great Matchup For Friday rotoballer.com Thu 5/10/18 12:50 PM
Houston Astros catcher/designated hitter Evan Gattis has a great chance to crack the starting lineup when the team opens up a series against the Rangers. Gattis has struggled this season but has collected hits in each of his last two starts. The Astros will go up against veteran left-hander Cole Hamels and Gattis has had past success against him. In 26 career at-bats, Gattis has nine hits and three of those went over the fence. That .346 career average against Hamels should be enough to get Gatt[...]
Playing Time Dwindling For Evan Gattis rotoballer.com Tue 5/8/18 11:23 AM
Houston Astros catcher/designated hitter Evan Gattis has struggled to begin the season and has seen only 11 at-bats thus far in the month of May. He has lost playing time at the catching position to Max Stassi and veteran Brian McCann. He also has been the odd-man out in the designated hitter rotation of late as the Astros have opted to use Josh Reddick more in that spot. Gattis' numbers and playing time have been on the decline for seasons now and is a long way away from his 32-homer season in [...]
Evan Gattis Not In Lineup Tuesday Amidst Slump rotoballer.com Tue 4/24/18 12:20 PM
Houston Astros catcher/designated hitter Evan Gattis is mired in a 9-for-58 (.155) slump heading into the final week of April. Gattis put together a few productive games straight out of the gate to start the season but has struggled ever since. He is now hitting only .205 for the season and has only two extra-base since April 2nd. Gattis did hit a two-run homer on Sunday against the [...]
