Gattis has completely turned his season around over the past few weeks, hitting eight home runs and slugging .632 over his last 76 at-bats. He has driven in 25 runs during that span and has taken his batting average from .236 at the beginning of the month up to .250. Houston Astros catcher Evan Gattis is getting the day off Sunday. It is just a routine day of rest for the veteran catcher, who has been on fire lately batting .295 with an OPS of .963 and 17 RBI over the past two weeks. The season got off to a rough start for Gattis but he is starting to become the low average, high powered catcher that we all expected him to be. While he is this hot and playing in such a good lineup, Gattis should be owned and started in most leagues.
