Houston Astros catcher/designated hitter Evan Gattis (rest) is out of the lineup Sunday against the White Sox. Nothing has been mentioned in terms of injuries, so this is just a day off for Gattis. George Springer will DH and Max Stassi will catch. Both Springer and Stassi are worth a start today against a struggling Lucas Giolito. Gattis should be out of owners' lineups today.

If you're one of those people, this article is for you. The five players below are all less than 50% owned and could provide high value at the catcher position. Week 14 Waiver Wire - Catcher rotoballer.com Thu 6/28/18 3:15 AM

The 2018 Fantasy Baseball season has not been kind to catchers. The highest ranked catcher is J.T. Realmuto. Players like Wilson Ramos and Evan Gattis rank higher than Buster Posey, while fantasy darlings such as Gary Sanchez and Willson Contreras rank ninth and 11th among catchers respectably. Due to the amount of uncertainty at the position, the waiver wire could be your best friend when it comes to catchers. It may be more valuable to add the hot-hitting catcher du jour, rather than tradin[...]

Evan Gattis Sitting Sunday rotoballer.com Sun 6/24/18 9:49 AM

Houston Astros catcher Evan Gattis is getting the day off Sunday. It is just a routine day of rest for the veteran catcher, who has been on fire lately batting .295 with an OPS of .963 and 17 RBI over the past two weeks. The season got off to a rough start for Gattis but he is starting to become the low average, high powered catcher that we all expected him to be. While he is this hot and playing in such a good lineup, Gattis should be owned and started in most leagues.

Evan Gattis is Player of the Week rotoballer.com Tue 6/19/18 10:58 AM

Houston Astros catcher Evan Gattis was named MLB's Player of the Week after going 10-for-24 with two doubles, four home runs and 15 RBI. He's rebounded nicely after a miserable April when he hit just .200 with one HR. He is now batting .254 with 14 HRs, 29 runs and 47 RBIs, making him the highest ranked catcher in standard leagues. If he can stay on the field now that he's a full-time designated hitter, he could end up being the most valuable catcher in fantasy baseball.
