Mets accepted Rule 5 pick Elvin Ramirez back from the Nationals. The 24-year-old right-hander was selected from the Mets in December's Rule 5 Draft with the sixth pick. Ramirez missed the entire season after undergoing shoulder surgery. He posted a pedestrian 4.17 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over 73 1/3 innings last year at the Single-A level, but he was hitting 98 MPH with his fastball prior to surgery.
