Jackson (0-4) took the loss Thursday against the Yankees, coughing up six runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 3.1 innings while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
A Vlad Guerrero Jr. error with two outs in the second inning softened the blow to Jackson's ERA, but this was still another poor outing for the 35-year-old, who was taken deep by Aaron Hicks and Gio Urshela before he got the hook. Jackson has served up eight homers in only 19.2 innings this season, leading to a hideous 11.90 ERA, but the Jays don't yet seem inclined to pull him from the rotation. He's next scheduled to take the mound Wednesday in Baltimore.

Jackson (0-3) took the loss Friday, surrendering 10 runs on 10 hits and three walks over 2.1 innings while striking out four as the Blue Jays were routed 13-6 by the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Colorado got two runs on the board before Jackson had even recorded an out, and it was downhill from there for the veteran right-hander. He now has a 13.22 ERA through four starts this season, and only Toronto's lack of organizational pitching depth is keeping him in the big-league rotation.

Jackson (0-2) took the loss Saturday as the Blue Jays were routed 19-4 by the Padres, surrendering seven runs on seven hits -- including three home runs -- over four innings. He walked one and struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The Padres set a franchise record with seven homers in the game, and Jackson got them started by serving up two long balls in the second inning and another in the fourth. The veteran right-hander now has 9.00 ERA over his first three starts with the Jays, and unsurprisingly he doesn't look like any kind of solution to the club's rotation woes.

Jackson (0-1) allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits with four strikeouts and one walk across five innings while taking a loss against the Red Sox on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The Red Sox had their hitting shoes on, as they posted 12 runs, including six against the Blue Jays starter. This was only Jackson's second start of the season, and in both, he gave up at least six hits. Opponents are batting .310 against him with two home runs in 10 frames. That's largely why he's posted a 0-1 record, 6.30 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. He also has six strikeouts. If he remains in the rotation, Jackson will start again Saturday against the Padres.

Jackson allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk while striking out two across five innings Wednesday against the Giants. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday's start was Jackson's first as a Blue Jay, marking the 14th major-league team he's pitched for in his career. The results weren't bad -- his only earned runs came on a two-run home run by Aramis Garcia -- but he generated just eight called strikes and five swinging strikes. He did induce eight groundballs, largely keeping him out of trouble. However, it is worth noting that he experienced this success against a weak lineup and in one of the most favorable pitching parks in the league. It remains to be seen if he can continue to pitch with any type of success after posting a 5.21 ERA and 1.51 WHIP across 76 innings in 2018. He's likely to be tested in his next start, currently scheduled for Monday against Boston.

Jackson was called up from Triple-A Buffalo. He'll start Wednesday's game against the Giants, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The club sent down Thomas Pannone and moved Matt Shoemaker to the 60-day injured list to make room for the veteran right-hander. With his first pitch Wednesday, Jackson will set a big-league record by appearing for his 14th team. The 35-year-old might still have something left in the tank -- he posted a 3.33 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 92 innings for Oakland in 2018.

Jackson was traded from Oakland to Toronto in exchange for cash considerations Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old recorded a 3.33 ERA in 17 starts for the Athletics last season, but his 4.65 FIP and 4.88 xFIP don't back up the idea that he was a whole lot better than the previous two seasons, where he recorded ERAs north of 5.00. If he appears in a big-league game for the Blue Jays, he'll set an MLB record for appearing in games with 14 different clubs.

Jackson allowed two earned runs on three hits and four walks across 4.2 innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Fresno on Friday. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson worked up to 102 pitches, getting 65 of them into the strike zone. The veteran right-hander is with the Aviators in order to get stretched out after not having had the benefit of a spring training. Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that there's a possibility Jackson could slide into the major-league rotation during the coming week, although that won't likely be decided for several days.

Jackson will report to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Julian McWilliams of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson will move to Triple-A after striking out nine batters across five innings of two-run ball in a start for High-A Stockton over the weekend. The veteran right-hander is expected to get up to speed with Las Vegas before ultimately joining the big club. Across 17 starts with the A's last season, Jackson posted a 3.33 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 68:37 K:BB in 92 innings.

Jackson is set to make a start at High-A Stockton on Sunday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
After signing a minor-league deal April 10, Jackson has slowly gotten stretched out. He participated in extended spring training and also threw a sim game earlier this week. His start Sunday represents the next step in getting up to speed so his role with the big-league club can be determined.
