Chin-Lung Hu's minor league deal with the Phillies was voided after he failed his physical.
Hu latched on with the Phillies on Wednesday after being released, but he's now a free agent again. The 28-year-old infielder owns a .176/.225/.259 batting line over 214 plate appearances in the majors.

Phillies signed INF Chin-Lung Hu to a minor league contract.
Hu signed a minor league deal with the Indians in January, but he was granted his release on Wednesday. The 28-year-old has a lousy .176/.225/.259 batting line over 214 plate appearances, so he's unlikely to make an impact in the big leagues.

Indians signed INF Chin-Lung Hu to a minor league contract.
Hu, who turns 28 in February, made the Mets' Opening Day roster out of spring training last year, but was sent down to the minors after going just 1-for-20 (.050) over 22 games. The former Dodgers' farmhand is unlikely to make an impact in the big leagues.

Chin-lung Hu has left Triple-A Buffalo due to a case of throwing yips.
The problem actually surfaced before he was demoted to the minors last month. While he's leaving Triple-A Buffalo, he is expected to report to the team's complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida. If Hu can't get past his throwing issues, he will have a very hard time getting another chance in the majors. His defense was always his biggest strength.
