Floro and the Marlins avoided arbitration Tuesday by agreeing to a one-year, $3 million contract, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

Assuming the team doesn't bring in a more established ninth-inning arm in the offseason, Floro will likely head into spring training next year as the favorite to retain the role, although his skill set is probably better suited to being a setup man.
