Baldwin is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
The Diamondbacks are sending Merrill Kelly to the bump Wednesday, but the left-handed-hitting Baldwin will take a seat for the second time in Atlanta's last four matchups with a righty. After he previously appeared content to deploy Baldwin and Sean Murphy in a platoon behind the plate, Atlanta manager Brian Snitker may be favoring more of a timeshare arrangement between the two backstops to keep both fresh. Baldwin and Murphy have now alternated starts over the last six games.

Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Fresh off being named the NL Rookie of the Month for May, Baldwin got hold of a Zac Gallen cutter in the fourth inning and ripped it down the right-field line for his sixth homer of the season. The rookie has been splitting starts behind the plate with Sean Murphy of late, but Baldwin's been the more productive hitter with a .379/.400/.621 slash line, four homers and 10 RBI over his last 20 games.

Baldwin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
After taking a seat for Friday's series opener against right-hander Lucas Giolito, Baldwin will sit against southpaw Garrett Crochet this time around. Sean Murphy will get the nod at catcher Sunday as the duo continue to split time behind the plate.

Baldwin is out of the lineup for the first game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
With a .337 batting average and .912 OPS in 105 plate appearances on the season, Baldwin has emerged as Atlanta's preferred option behind the plate, despite the fact that Sean Murphy is in the third year of a six-year, $73 million extension and has performed well in his own right (.783 OPS) through the first two months of the campaign. Atlanta manager Brian Snitker seems to have settled on a platoon between the two backstops, so the left-handed-hitting Baldwin will give way to the right-handed-hitting Murphy behind the plate while southpaw Cristopher Sanchez takes the hill for the Phillies in Game 1. Baldwin will re-enter the lineup for the nightcap to face off against right-hander Zack Wheeler.

Baldwin is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin has received the lion's share of starts at catcher against right-handed pitching lately, but he will begin Friday's festivities on the bench as the Padres send righty Nick Pivetta to the hill. Sean Murphy is catching and batting sixth for Atlanta.

Baldwin went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against Boston in a loss Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Baldwin hit one of three Atlanta homers off Red Sox starter Lucas Giolito, slugging a 416-foot two-run shot in the third inning. The rookie catcher has been scorching at the plate of late -- over his past four games, he's batting a sizzling .625 (10-for-16) with two home runs and five RBI. Baldwin's hot stretch extends even further -- through 11 games in May, he's batting .556 (15-for-27) with three long balls and eight RBI. His performance has led to Baldwin moving into a timeshare with Sean Murphy behind the plate, as the pair has alternated starts for Atlanta's past eight games.

EDGE Analysis
Baldwin notched his second three-hit performance in his last three outings, continuing his torrid start to May. The rookie catcher is 14-for-23 (.608) with two home runs, two doubles, six RBI and four runs scored across 10 games. Baldwin is set to see more playing time, David O'Brien of the Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Atlanta manager Brian Snitker indicated Baldwin would be back behind the plate Thursday after he went 3-for-4 with his fourth homer of the season Tuesday, with Sean Murphy getting the nod behind the plate Wednesday. As long as he's contributing with his bat, the rookie backstop should continue to see an equal share of the workload against right-handed pitching, although he has yet to get a start against a lefty. Through his first 25 big-league games, Baldwin is slashing .329/.382/.557 with a 6:13 BB:K.

Baldwin went 3-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and two additional runs scored in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Starting at catcher and batting fifth, Baldwin got Atlanta on the board by taking Michael Soroka deep in the fourth inning. The rookie is muscling his way into a timeshare behind the plate with Sean Murphy, and so far in May, Baldwin's batting .556 (10-for-18) with two doubles, two homers, four runs and five RBI.

Baldwin went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
He took Brent Suter deep in the fifth inning to get Atlanta on the board. Baldwin has been starting every third contest since Sean Murphy settled back into the top spot on the depth chart in mid-April, and over his last 12 games, the rookie backstop is batting an impressive .379 (11-for-29) with all three of his homers on the season. Murphy is slashing just .204/.295/.407 with a 32.8 percent strikeout rate in 61 plate appearances during that same period, so Baldwin could begin to push his way into a more even timeshare behind the plate.
