Gee (groin) allowed seven runs in four innings in his return from the disabled list Wednesday against the Padres. Gee had pitched well his last three starts prior to the injury and looked good in his rehab outings but didn't carry that forward Wednesday. With the Mets now using a six-man rotation, Gee will now wait nearly a week to start, with his next outing Wednesday at home against the Giants. If Gee struggles again, the calls for Steven Matz to replace him in the rotation could get even louder.

The Mets activated Gee (groin) from the disabled list Wednesday. Gee will jump right into the Mets' rotation and start Wednesday night against the Padres. He has not pitched for the Mets since May 3, but he threw the ball well in his last three starts with the big club, giving up just four earned runs over 19.2 innings. Thanks to an off day and the six-man rotation the Mets will employ moving forward, Gee's next start will not come until next Wednesday.

Gee (groin) will be activated from the disabled list and start Wednesday against the Padres, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Gee will follow Noah Syndergaard in the Mets' new six-man rotation, with Matt Harvey set to follow Thursday in Arizona. The 29-year-old Gee started off the season strong for New York, allowing two earned runs or less in each of his last three starts before landing on the disabled list. Despite a 3.86 ERA that is supported by a 3.87 WHIP, the right-hander remains in search of his first victory of the season (0-2). He'll look to get in the win column in the spacious Petco Park, making his first start since May 3.

Gee (groin) is expected to rejoin the Mets Wednesday against the Padres, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Gee's last rehab start with Double-A Binghamton went well, allowing just two earned runs over 6.1 innings. He will serve as part of the Mets' six-man rotation moving forward, making his sixth start of the season Wednesday.

Gee (groin) will likely rejoin the Mets' rotation Tuesday or Wednesday for their series against the Padres, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Gee allowed two earned runs over 6.1 innings in his rehab start Wednesday at Double-A Binghamton. Wednesday's start is expected to be Gee's last rehab appearance before being activated from the disabled list.

Gee (groin) will make one more rehab start for Double-A Binghamtom before being activated from the disabled list, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Gee was originally expected to be activated this week, but the Mets will push that back a bit in preparation of using a six-man rotation at the start of June. That plan is expected to continue for the foreseeable future, so don't look for many two-start weeks from Gee or the rest of the Mets' staff any time soon.

The Mets will use a six-man rotation when Gee (groin) is activated off the disabled list this week, ESPN New York reports. It remains to be seen how long this lasts. But for now, Gee will slot back into the Mets' rotation rather than pitching out of the bullpen. His next start should come Tuesday or Wednesday, as he made a rehab start Thursday at High-A St. Lucie.

Gee (groin) allowed just three hits and no runs while striking out five over 6.1 innings Thursday for High-A St. Lucie, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Gee threw 93 pitches and showed he is ready to return to the majors. His role when he does come back is still up in the air, as the Mets have to decide what to do with Noah Syndergaard and/or Jon Niese.

Gee (groin) will make his next rehab start Thursday with High-A St. Lucie, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Gee's rehab start is likely unnecessary, but probably relates to the success of top prospect Noah Syndergaard in his first two major league starts. Regardless, he should be fine after his next rehab start, at which point the Mets will have a decision to make regarding his role with the club moving forward.

Manager Terry Collins said Sunday that Gee (groin) would make another rehab start, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Perhaps more importantly, Collins was noncommittal when asked if Gee would have a rotation spot awaiting him upon his return from the disabled list, suggesting the Mets may be leaning toward sticking with top prospect Noah Syndergaard in their rotation. Gee, who tossed four innings and struck out seven batters at High-A St. Lucie on Saturday, is expected to throw 100 pitches in his next rehab outing, after which Collins should provide a clearer outline for the right-hander's return date and his eventual role with the Mets.
