Dingler (elbow) will come off the bench and work behind the plate in Friday's spring game against the Phillies, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies from his right elbow during the offseason, and he's now game ready after being limited with his throwing at the start of camp. Dingler was added to Detroit's 40-man roster in November in order to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft, and he could make his MLB debut at some point in 2024.

Dingler (elbow) is scheduled to throw to bases this week as part of his rehab program for the arthroscopic right elbow procedure he underwent in the offseason, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Tigers are easing the young catcher along in his throwing program as he ramps back up from the elbow procedure, but he's otherwise able to perform all baseball activities. With that in mind, Dingler could be able to make his spring debut early in the Tigers' Grapefruit League schedule as a designated hitter, though it's unclear when he'll be ready to catch in games.

Dingler is recovering from arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies from his right elbow, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear when the procedure was performed, but Dingler has already begun a throwing program and is able to do all other baseball activities. The 25-year-old catcher was added to the Tigers' 40-man roster over the offseason and could debut at some point in 2024.

EDGE Analysis
Dingler delivered an .839 OPS with 16 home runs and 58 RBI over 89 total major-league games in 2023. The 25-year-old catcher finished out the season with Triple-A Toledo and could make his major-league debut at some point during the 2024 campaign.

The Tigers promoted Dingler to Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dingler has been very solid at the plate this season with Double-A Erie, slashing .254/.372/.464 with nine homers and 42 RBI across 218 plate appearances. The 24-year-old backstop will now make his way to Triple-A for the first time in his career and could see the majors next season if his bat holds up against tougher competition.

Dingler is hitting .423 with three home runs and one steal in seven games since returning from a knee injury for Double-A Erie.
EDGE Analysis
He also hit .448 with four home runs and two steals in eight games during a rehab assignment with Single-A Lakeland. Dingler turns 25 in September, so he is old for Double-A and especially old for Single-A, but there's no denying this is the best stretch of his professional career. The 38th overall pick in 2020, Dingler has a 47.6 percent hard-hit rate and should soon earn a promotion to Triple-A.

Dingler will be out at least four weeks after undergoing surgery Tuesday on his right knee, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was a meniscectomy procedure, the removal of a torn meniscus, and this almost certainly stems from the knee soreness that knocked Dingler out of the 2022 Arizona Fall League. He probably won't be ready for minor-league action before mid-May.

Dingler (knee) is listed as an available reserve for Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Yankees, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dingler's stint in the Arizona Fall League was cut short due to a sore knee, but he appears to have received a clean bill of health upon reporting to Florida for spring training. The 24-year-old catcher made his spring debut off the bench in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Phillies in the Grapefruit League opener, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout as a backup designated hitter. Dingler looks like he could get the chance to pick up a couple of at-bats again Monday.

Dingler will miss the remainder of the Arizona Fall League after tests on his sore knee returned negative Sunday, Emily Waldon of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dingler won't require surgery to address the injury and should be a full participant at the start of spring training, but the catching prospect will miss the remainder of the fall slate. The 24-year-old reported to Arizona for more work after slashing .238/.333/.419 with 39 extra-base hits across 447 plate appearances for Double-A Erie.
