I'm glad I led off last week's article with Kyle Tucker because the Astros made me look great. They called him up this past weekend and it looks like it's going to take a small adjustment period for Tucker to get adjusted to MLB pitching. We'll get to that later. The calendar turning to July seems to indicate that the prospect onslaught is incoming. Especially with the trade deadline approaching, teams will be more willing to give their prospects some run after they trade away their veterans[...]

So Kyle Tucker is still destroying the minor leagues. He has a .301/.367/.505 triple-slash with 13 HR and 14 steals (82.4% success rate) and yet the Astros have not given him the call yet. Tucker has absolutely nothing left to prove in the minors and the Astros have indicated that they think he will come up at some point this year. I think it will be sooner rather than later. Tampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Diego Castillo was added to the major league roster Tuesday. Castillo's call up came as Chris Archer was placed on the disabled list. Castillo has been lights out at Triple-A this season. In 26 1/3 innings, he has 32 strikeouts, seven walks, an ERA of just 1.03, and four saves to his name.
