DeWayne Wise was scratched from Friday's lineup due to a stiff neck. Consider him day-to-day. Jordan Danks will start in his place in center field and bat ninth.

DeWayne Wise didn't hit Tuesday because he tweaked his neck. Wise just slept on it wrong, so it doesn't sounds like a big deal. The soon-to-be 35-year-old batted .259/.293/.429 with eight home runs, 30 RBI, 19 stolen bases and a .721 OPS in 239 plate appearances last season and projects to begin the season as a reserve outfielder.

DeWayne Wise went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI as the White Sox edged the Tigers 5-4 on Monday. Wise committed a huge baserunning blunder in the eighth, costing the White Sox an insurance run when he was thrown out at third before Gordon Beckham could touch home plate. Fortunately, it didn't come back to haunt the White Sox. The White Sox are now three games up in the AL Central with 16 left to play, and they're done with the Tigers for the regular season.

White Sox signed OF Dewayne Wise to a minor league contract. Wise was granted his release by the Yankees this week after refusing a minor league assignment. The 34-year-old outfielder previously played with the White Sox from 2008-2009. He'll function as organizational depth.

Yankees sent OF Dewayne Wise outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Wise cleared waivers after being designated for assignment by the Bombers earlier this week. He has yet to accept the minor league assignment and has the option to test free agency.

Yankees designated OF Dewayne Wise for assignment. He was cleared to make room for the newly-acquired Ichiro Suzuki on the active roster. Wise has played well with the Yankees this season, batting .262 (16-for-61) with three home runs, eight RBI and a .778 OPS in 55 games. The 34-year-old is just a .222/.258/.381 hitter in the big leagues and is known much more for his glove, but he could draw interest elsewhere.

DeWayne Wise went 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBI in a win over the White Sox on Saturday. Quite a 24 hours for Wise, who pitched in a blowout loss on Friday night. The veteran outfielder had an RBI double in the bottom of the second inning and a solo homer to right in the fifth. Wise entered Saturday's action with a .219/.255/.373 batting line over 918 plate appearances in the big leagues, so he can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Yankees recalled OF DeWayne Wise from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Signed to a minor-league contract in January, Wise had been raking in the International League, hitting .333/.398/.587 to go along with 11 extra-base hits and 10 RBI in 20 games. His recall could be a sign the Yankees are planning to finally place Nick Swisher (hamstring) on the disabled list.
