The Marlins activated Hill (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list Thursday, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.

The 28-year-old was receiving regular run in the outfield prior to getting hurt, but the Marlins figure to prioritize Jesus Sanchez, Kyle Stowers and Griffin Conine over Hill down the stretch.

Hill isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Tuesday's game versus Colorado.

The journeyman outfielder got hold of an Andrew Abbott fastball in the first inning and lofted it over the fence in right-center field, providing the Marlins a 5-0 lead and giving Hill his first career grand slam. He was getting the start in left field and batting sixth, and for now he appears to be working the short side of a platoon with Kyle Stowers. Hill can handle center field defensively though, and if he gets hot at the plate, there should be playing time available for him as Miami sorts through its roster options for 2025. While the 28-year-old has yet to find much success in the majors, Hill has a career .300/.360/.502 slash line in 932 plate appearance at Triple-A with 30 homers and 35 steals.
