Cameron was invited to the Tigers' big-league camp Tuesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron, one of the team's top prospects, will get an opportunity to showcase his skills in front of the Tigers' brass during spring training. The 22-year-old climbed from High-A Lakeland to Triple-A Toledo in 2018, hitting a combined .264/.343/.406 with eight homers and 24 stolen bases in 126 games at all three stops. While Cameron figures to open the 2019 campaign back at Triple-A, he should get the call sometime over summer if he holds his own at the highest level of the minors.

Cameron was moved up to Triple-A Toledo on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The promotion is the second one of the season for the 21-year-old outfielder, acquired last season as part of the the Justin Verlander trade. The call-up was well-earned, as he hit .285/.367/.470 with five homers and 12 steals in 53 games for Double-A Erie, even better numbers than he posted for High-A Lakeland at the beginning of the year. He also cut his strikeout rate from 28.0 percent to 23.5 percent, while keeping a high walk rate (11.1 percent). He'll get the chance to keep the momentum going at the highest level of the minors and has a good shot to reach the big leagues at some point in 2019.

Cameron went 4-for-6 with three doubles, four RBI and four runs for Double-A Erie in its 18-1 win over Portland on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The four-hit night was Cameron's second of the season and first since his June 18 promotion from High-A Lakeland. The 21-year-old earned the callup after posting a respectable enough 109 wRC+ at Erie, but he's bolstered his outlook in dynasty formats by developing into one of the best hitters in the Eastern League since arriving on the circuit. Through 46 games with Erie, the outfielder has slashed .316/.393/.523 with 21 extra-base hits while going 12-for-17 on stolen-base attempts. A .400 BABIP has certainly aided Cameron's success, but he has also created his own good fortune by reducing his strikeout rate from 28 percent in the Florida State League to 22.4 percent at Double-A.

Cameron was promoted to Double-A Erie on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year-old outfielder, who was acquired in the Justin Verlander trade with Houston, posted a .259/.346/.370 slash line with 10 steals in 58 games with High-A Lakeland this season. Cameron will now get his first taste of Double-A competition as he continues his way up the ladder for a Tigers organization in need of some dynamic outfielders. Leonys Martin has been solid in center field, but he's 30 years old and probably not a long term piece, while JaCoby Jones (.228/.274/.388) hasn't provided much from left field.

Cameron went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs for High-A Lakeland in its 8-4 win over Palm Beach on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron displayed decent pop with 51 extra-base hits over stints with two different Low-A affiliates in 2017, but his power contributions have been more rare as he has made the transition to the Florida State League. Prior to his two-homer outburst Wednesday, the 21-year-old went deep just once in his first 162 plate appearances of the season. On a more encouraging note, Cameron has at least continued to draw walks at a steady rate (12.2 BB%), keeping his on-base percentage and a respectable .373 for the campaign.

Cameron has a single hit in each of his five games so far this season with High-A Lakeland, to go along with three walks, two runs, an RBI and a steal.
EDGE Analysis
No multi-hit performances yet for the 21-year-old, but it's nice to see him hit consistently. Cameron, the son of former MLB player Mike Cameron and part of the Tigers' return in last summer's Justin Verlander trade, is in his first year at the High-A level. The team will likely want to see him perform well at Lakeland for a while before moving him up the organizational ladder.

Cameron will begin the year at High-A Lakeland.
EDGE Analysis
A part of the return for Justin Verlander, Cameron reported to Low-A West Michigan last summer after the trade. He only got in 11 plate appearances before the end of year, but he'll now have a full season in the organization. Cameron is perhaps not an elite prospect, but he could be a solid MLB contributor in a few seasons if he continues to develop.

Cameron said the adjustment to his new Low-A West Michigan team has been "smooth," Peter J. Wallner of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron was part of the package Houston sent the Tigers for Justin Verlander. The 20-year-old stayed at the same level he was at in the Houston organization, but he did join West Michigan right as the playoffs were starting. "He's been just fine," West Michigan manager Mike Rabelo said of Cameron's adjustment. "He can play baseball anywhere. Midwest League, South Atlantic League, Quad Cities, West Michigan. This kid is going to be a player." Cameron went 2-for-8 in three regular season games with the Whitecaps, and he's collected a hit in each of their two playoff games.

Cameron, 20, is hitting .474 with two home runs, eight RBI and four steals over his last 10 games for Low-A Quad Cities.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron's recent surge brings his slash line up to .266/.339/.462. The toolsy outfielder has 13 home runs and 27 steals this season, and he has also cut down on his strikeout rate in 2017. He's still a few years away from making an impact in the big leagues, but Cameron is certainly showing some promise in the Astros organization.

Cameron went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two doubles for Low-A Quad Cities on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Cameron is healthy again after missing a signficant portion of the 2016 season due to a broken finger. He's leading off for the River Bandits and doing some damage atop the order, stroking four extra-base hits (two homers) with three stolen bases in six games. We've been waiting since he was drafted in the supplemental round (37th overall) of 2015 to break out but his career thus far has been a series of steps forward and backwards.
