Rollins received the call up with Wade Miley landing on the DL and Steve Johnson heading out on assignment Friday. Rollins was shelled during his limited major league action in 2015, giving up 37 hits and 21 earned runs over 25 innings. The 26-year-old has looked good at Triple-A Tacoma this season, however, posting a 2.36 ERA 0.71 WHIP over 26.2 relief innings.

Rollins was reinstated from the restricted list Saturday. After serving an 80-game suspension for a positive test of performance-enhancing drugs, Rollins will take a spot in the Mariners' bullpen right off the bat. In seven recent appearances with Triple-A Tacoma, he held the opposition scoreless with a 0.879 WHIP and 8:1 K:BB in 9.1 innings.

Rollins, a Rule 5 pick who was suspended 80 games Friday for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance, will be taken off the 40-man roster but will remain the Mariners property for the duration of the suspension, the Seattle Times reports. The Mariners could go with only one left-hander in Charlie Furbush, however.
