Huff's contract was selected by the Dodgers on Monday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Huff's role with the team remains uncertain at this time, as he could serve as either a starter or reliever. The team plays a doubleheader Tuesday, making Huff a possible option for one of the games, but the team will also be allowed to call up another arm for the game, making Joe Wieland also a candidate among others.

Huff was outrighted to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday. After passing through waivers unclaimed, Huff will head down to Oklahoma City to serve as organizational depth. The lefty gave up four runs on seven hits and one walk with two strikeouts in four innings in what may very well prove to be his lone appearance with the Dodgers.

Huff was designated for assignment by the Dodgers on Wednesday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports. The Dodgers rallied against Mariners closer Fernando Rodney to take Huff off the hook for the loss Tuesday, but that didn't change the fact that the lefty's performance was simply not up to par. Huff gave up back-to-back homers in the first inning and four runs on seven hits in total. Ryan Dennick was claimed off waivers from the Reds to take Huff's spot on the 40-man roster.

Huff allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk, with two strikeouts in four innings, but was taken off the hook for the loss when the Dodgers rallied against Mariners closer Fernando Rodney on Tuesday. Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz went back-to-back off Huff in the first inning, but to his credit, Huff did settle in to a certain extent and went on to allow one run in his final three frames. The left-hander appears in line to serve as the Dodgers' fifth starter until Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) returns, but he won't have much of a leash in the role.

Huff was called up and will start Tuesday against the Mariners. As expected, the Dodgers selected Huff's contract and will throw him opposite Hisashi Iwakuma for his 55th career start at the major league level. Huff posted a 1.85 ERA in 30 relief appearances with the Yankees down the stretch last season, but his FIP was all the way up at 4.00.

Huff will start against the Mariners on Tuesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Huff is a bit of a surprise starter for the Dodgers, but his numbers he's had a history of starting games in the majors. However, he spent 2014 as a member of two different bullpens, and he probably won't be extended as far as most starters Tuesday.

Huff has signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers and received an invite to spring training, Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register reports. Huff split the 2014 season between the Giants and the Yankees, though saw much more success with the later. In 39 innings with New York, he pitched his way to a 1.85 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 28 strikeouts. He will enter spring training looking to grab a spot in the Dodgers' bullpen likely as a middle reliever.

The Yankees declined to tender Huff a contract, the New York Post's Joel Sherman reports. Splitting time between the Giants and Yankees in 2014, Huff had a 3.36 ERA in 59 relief innings. He doesn't miss a lot of bats, but is a competent enough middle reliever that he should be able to catch on elsewhere.

Huff struck out two in pitching a scoreless inning and picked up the win on Sunday. Huff is now 3-1 on the year with a 4.13 ERA with both the Giants and Yankees, but has just a 2.57 ERA since joining the Yankees. He had given up a run in each of his previous three outings, but has otherwise been reliable out of the bullpen.
